Catawba Nation To Add Live Dealer Tables as a Part of Expansion of Its Temporary Two Kings Casino in North Carolina

The work on Catawba Two Kings Casino in North Carolina is in progress, and visitors will soon be able to enjoy an enhanced gaming experience on new live table games.

Additional table games for the temporary casino:

It is expected that the new gaming positions will be in place by June and will see 12 live dealer gaming tables added to the casino floor. At the moment, the space features various gaming options such as 1,000 slot machines and electronic table games, as well as a popular retail sportsbook and a restaurant.

Among the new games players will be able to enjoy are craps, roulette, mini-baccarat, blackjack, Mississippi stud poker, and three-card poker.

But that’s not all, to make the playing experience as smooth as possible, the casino will see new prefabricated modular structures that will be located in the venue. The Catawba Nation Gaming Authority will operate all of them.

The work on upgrading the temporary casino began in February and will last until summer. However, the exact date of the table games launch will reportedly be revealed at a later date.

As local newspaper The Shelby Star reports, Brian Harris, a Chief of Catawba Nation, said: “We’re very excited to be adding live table games to expand our gaming and entertainment offerings at Catawba Two Kings Casino. By adding live table games, we are giving our loyal patrons something many have asked for and also anticipate drawing Charlotte residents and visitors to the region who have not yet been to the casino.”

A free dealer school will also open on March 25 in Kings Mountain. The school will operate until June 14, and it will be followed by recruitment fairs in various locations throughout the region. The school and overall recruitment process is supported by Delaware North, Catawba Nation’s consultant, one of the leading hospitality and entertainment companies.

It is expected that the casino will see 120 new employees on top of the 280 that currently work there. Kathy George, a President of the Catawba Nation Gaming Authority, said: “While we want to attract experienced dealers to our team and are offering bonuses and relocation packages for those who qualify and are hired, it’s also a top objective to add local residents who may be new to gaming but are seeking a good-paying job. Our free dealer school will prepare people for new careers in the casino industry.”

Works on the permanent site:

The development of the temporary casino is a part of the plan for the construction of the permanent casino resort. The timeframe for the permanent casino is still unknown, but it is reportedly to be situated adjacent to the temporary casino. The tribe recently acquired 9.4 acres of land adjacent to the temporary property from Kings Mountain Land Development Partners, LLC. The $40 million deal, reportedly finalized in February, was approved by the National Indian Gaming Commission. All d top646 etails about the construction of the permanent casino will be published later this year.

The Nation has also worked and funded two infrastructure projects key to the development of the permanent casino resort, with the size of the Dixon School Road Bridge doubled and new sewer lines installed.

Apart from table games, the casino plans to operate mobile sports betting in the state, and the process of choosing its new partner is in progress. In the meantime, the tribe’s retail sportsbook remains popular among the residents, since it’s the closest to Charlotte of all three sportsbooks in the state.
